I was selected with 5 other Asian-American artists to paint a mural inspired by the Lunar New Year of the rabbit. In comes, “Mahjong After Dinner”.

As a multi-racial Asian person, Lunar New Year has been a holiday that was always like a North Star to my Asianness. This LNY reminds me of family, of the rituals and traditions that flow throughout my maternal grandparents' cozy Brooklyn apartment. Playing mahjong was one of many things that nourished my sense of self during this holiday. Here, Four rabbits play Mahjong in the living room, each with a different quirk and levels of Mahjong knowledge about them.

This is my first ever mural! Here are some time-lapse highlights 🖌️ .
At 100 square feet, this was the biggest sized artwork I’ve ever done, yay milestones.
